Hey! It’s your birthday on Monday!! And i would just like to let you know that with every year you just get hotter and hotter!! So yes, i made a hat just for you, you sexy little thing!
And just to let anyone else know: Me and Steph are identical twins.
I told Tasha to put on the hat real quick so i can take a picture of it, and little miss superstar went to town with the poses!
This one is her ‘totally serious’ look:
“who, me?”:
This hat fits an adult head, to make this for a child just leave out the last one or two increase rounds.
Anyone feel like making it? Here’s how:
Materials:
ww yarn
size I hook
Note:
Each round is joined with a slip stitch to the first stitch. The beginning chain on each round counts as the last stitch of the round. I did a chain 2 for the beginning chain, if you prefer using chain 3, go right ahead! This hat can also be made with a chunky yarn and a size J hook, for the adult size leave off the last increase round, for a child size hat leave off the last 2 or 3 increase rounds.
Start with 8 sc in ring, join with sl st to first sc, chain 2.
rd1: 2 dc in each sc around, sl st to first dc, ch 2. (16 dc)
rd2: 2 dc in first dc, dc in next dc around, join with sl st, ch 2 (24 dc)
rd3: 2 dc in first dc, dc in next 2 dc around, join with sl st, ch 2 (32 dc)
rd4: 2 dc in first dc, dc in next 3 dc around, join with sl st, ch 2 (40 dc)
rd5: 2 dc in first dc, dc in next 4 dc around, join with sl st, ch 2 (48 dc)
rd6: 2 dc in first dc, dc in next 5 dc around, join with sl st, ch 2 (56 dc)
rd7: 2 dc in first dc, dc in next 6 dc around, join with sl st, ch 2 (64 dc)
rd8: 2 dc in first dc, dc in next 7 dc around, join with sl st, ch 2 (72 dc)
rd9: hdc in first dc, *ch 1, skip next dc, hdc in next dc* around, join with sl st, ch 3
rd10-14 or 15: *Skip first hdc, hdc in next ch-1 space, ch 1* repeat this round like 5 or 6 times, really until the hat is as long as you need it to be. Fasten off, weave in ends.
Enjoy!
