Kittens? Again?!! Surprise, surprise~ they’re all orange!! She just had them, and there’s at least one more still in her tummy. But here are a couple pics of her progress so far:

Yeah, blood, yuck, but too bad. She’s not done giving birth and i’m not changing the ’sheets’ till she is!!!

She’s had #5 since i’ve been online, so we’ll see if she has anymore!

The yarn i have at home is so boring to me that i haven’t made anything i’ve wanted to. So many fantastic projects and fabulous ideas that just don’t get made cause if i have to open that box and look at another ball of freakin red heart yarn i will just cry. Or just not make anything. But then an unplanned trip to Dollar Tree changed everything! Oh my god!! They actually had yarn that was’nt that stupid fun fur crap!!! I didn’t have much money (never do!) but i bought 4 balls of Patons ‘glittallic’.

I made this big spotted bird today:

Materials

Size F hook

1 ball Patons ‘glittallic’ in maroon shine

tiny bit of yellow ww yarn

embroidery floss or whatever for eyes

Body/Head

6 sc in a ring

rd1: 2sc in each sc around (12 sc)

rd2: 2sc in first sc, sc in next sc around (18 sc)

rd3: 2sc in first sc, sc in next 2 sc around (24 sc)

rd4: 2sc in first sc, sc in next 3 sc around (30 sc)

rd5: 2sc in first sc, sc in next 4 sc around (36 sc)

rd6: sc in each sc around (36 sc)

rd7: 2sc in first sc, sc in next sc around (54 sc)

rd8: 2sc in first sc, sc in next 8 sc around (60 sc)

rd9-22: sc in each sc around (60 sc)

rd23: sc2tog, sc in next 5 sc around (54 sc)

rd24: sc2tog, sc in next 4 sc around (45 sc)

rd25: sc2tog, sc in next 7 sc around (40 sc)

rd26: sc2tog, sc in next 6 sc around (35 sc)

rd27: sc2tog, sc in next 5 sc around (30 sc)

rd28: sc2tog, sc in next 4 sc around (25 sc)

rd29: sc2tog, sc in next 3 sc around (20 sc)

rd30: sc2tog, sc in next 2 sc around (15 sc)

Beak

with yellow yarn, 4 sc in a ring

rd1: 2sc in first sc, sc in next around (6 sc)

rd2: 2sc in first sc, sc in next sc around (9 sc)

rd3: sc in each sc around (9 sc)

fasten off, sew to the front of the head. Use embroidery floss or google eyes for the eyes. Done.

Please note: The numbers may or may not be off, no big deal, it’s just a bird!!!

James asked me if i could make him a ’snow mouse’ so i did. He wanted a bell on the mousie’s tail and i swear i had to sew it on while i was walking around the living room cause the kitties were just waaaay to excited about it!!! here is the little mousie:

My mom had a bunch of those small record singles and me and my sisters would play them and dance around when we were super little. My favorite one to play was an old french one cause it had my name on it, Nathalie, and OMG! I found it on youtube!!! I love that site!

I LOVE that show ‘Rock of Love’!! I saw the finale last night, and i was so glad to see him pick the only non-skank in the house!! Anyhow, poor Daisy was all barfy on the boat and since i can relate i named this fishy ‘Seasick’!

I made it for a cat toy swap i’m in over at ravelry.

Here’s a close up:

My cats love the big fish i made, so i wrote a smaller, almost identical version!

Materials:

size G hook

ww yarn ( i used red heart)

yarn needle

Pattern:

5 sc in a ring

rd1: 2sc in each sc around (10 sc)

rd2: 2sc in first sc, sc in next sc around (15 sc)

rd3: 2sc in first sc, sc in next 2 sc around (20 sc)

rd4 & 5: sc in each sc around (20 sc)

rd6: 2sc in first sc, sc in next 3 sc around (25 sc)

rd7 & 8: sc in each sc around (25 sc)

rd9: 2sc in first sc, sc in next 4 sc around (30 sc)

rd10-15: sc in each sc around (30 sc)

Row1: Chain 1, sc across both thicknesses. At the end of the ‘row’,

Row2:chain 25-32 (your choice), 2sc in 2nd chain from hook, *sc in next ch, 2sc in next ch* all the way down, sl st in 2nd sc over

Row3: repeat row 2 till the end of the row

sl st, fasten off.

I left an extra long tail and used it to embroider the detail, also stuff the fish before you sc across

So, i’ve spent the last couple days coughing, sneezing, vacuuming, and de-stickying all the kids’ plastic storage drawer things. I had all the drawers and stuff stacked up in the kids bathroom and finally broke down and actually cleaned it~ i got sick of tripping over sticky legos!!!

And while i waited for stuff to dry, i (surprise) went online to find free stuff!
