I’ve been working on crocheting with fuzzy yarn. What a pain in the butt!!!! The feather stuff isn’t so bad, but it’s the fuzzy/eyelash yarn that irritates me to no end!!!! Any kind of mess up and you can’t pull any stitches apart cause it knots up and you have to cut it off and start over. So the first one i did was the furry gumdrop on previous pages. Then i was trying to make a bird, but i wasn’t happy with how the shape of the head turned out, so i closed it up, stuck some eyeballs on and called it a day.
Next up is the pink fuzzy thing that drove me crazy!! Not too bad, only that i think i threw out like half a ball of the stuff trying to start the spiral for the head! I made the ears, nose, and tail last night and then attached them as i was working. Originally it was a cat, then the nose looked all funky on it so it was gonna be a bat. Then when i put the green on the nose, it looked like a cat again. So it’s a cat. End of story.
I took a million pictures of this thing, with and without the flash, but any type of glare gets thrown right back at you. So here’s a pic without flash
And here’s one in my favorite ‘picture place’!! Next to my plants!!!
I wrapped the tail around and sewed it in place, really cause i didn’t feel like crocheting feet for it. Honestly, i’m not crazy about the tip of the tail. It looks weird. I probably should have used the green embroidery floss on it. Oh well.
And my favorite fuzzy adventure is this bird thingy!!! I had actually started this one first, but i ran out of the purple feather stuff and left it on the table. But with the kids and the cats playing with it, i figured the least i could do is sew it closed. Then it was sitting on the fireplace without any legs just mocking me. All i could think was “just finish the damn bird”. So i did.
The front view shows off his feet, but the eyes i used are so small you can’t see them.
And here’s another one!!
His feet were fun to make, I cut out two pieces of felt for each foot, sewed it together and used a button to sew it onto the leg. It didn’t take long at all to make the legs so i don’t know why i kept putting it off !!!
And this is what i ate while i was working on this stuff:
Yummy!!! Luis brought it home last night. It’s the first time i ever ate peas raw, and they were delicious! You can’t see it in the pic, but the tomatos were all rancid. Bummer. I trashed those and any thing that was touching it.
Last but not least, this is why i didn’t use felt to make the cat’s feet.

Sew on ears and nose before the decrease rounds in the head. I did right after the last 24sc round. Sew on tail to back of cat, wrap around and sew the tip of the tail to the front of the cat. I used green embroidery floss and sewed the tip of the nose, just for some color. You don’t have to if you want. I stuffed the cat at the end, right before the 6sc round, but you can whenever you like.
